내 책상 옆에는 인디언 마을에서 사온 Dream Catcher라는 것 이 있다. 둥그런 링에 몇 개의 깃털이 달려있고, 링에는 테니스 체처럼 끈이 거미줄처럼 엮어있는 물건이다. 설명에 따르면 좋은 꿈은 남아서 이루어지고, 나쁜 꿈은 이 링에 걸러져서 사라져버린다고 북미 인디언들은 오래 동안 믿어왔던 모양이다. 

 

지난 두 주를 생각하면 짧은 악몽을 꾼 것만 같다. 내일 아침엔 좋은 꿈 들만 기억할 수 있길...

 

 

 

 

Dream Catcher

: The Dream Catcher has long been a symbol of good luck to many (Native Indian) tribes. It is believed that when a person hangs a dream catcher over their bed, the web will filter their dreams. Good dreams are allowed to slip through the center hole to come true, while bad dreams are caught in the web to be destroyed by the morning's light.
