About the Colored Musicians Club(CMC)
:Established in 1917. During the 30's, 40's & 50's, any musicians that visited Buffalo checked in with the CMC.
Some of the visiting Jazz Legends include Dizzy Gillespie, Art Blakely, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald.
The CMC is the only remaining African Club in the United States. In 1999, the club was designed a historical preservation site.
