Family photo by a stranger

Niagara Falls, NY 2011

While I was waiting for their daughter to take pictures of them,
I stood next to her and took this photo.

When they noticed me, they laughed at me.
It is enjoyable to see their response.
Sometimes I talked to people and emailed photos I took after film processing and scanning.
They really liked my film photos so far.
In my humble opinion, it helped me interact with many strangers I encountered in the street.
Virtually, I found myself being more extrovert nowadays.

Yesterday I went to downtown Buffalo to see my works in the exhibit.
After that I visited the Buffalo City Hall to take some photos of the city hall building.
I found a group of people in front of the city hall building with several tents.
They were participating in "Occupy Wall Street" event demanding economic justice
from greedy Wall street people and political elites' corrupted connections.
I talked with them for a while and took some photos of them with their messages in their hands.
Without my photographing experience, I couldn't imagine that I was able to talk to strangers like them.
They were very kind and welcoming me to their tents.
I will post some of their "Occupy Buffalo" protestors'  - up close and personal -  images soon.
